Next HWVAS Meeting Monday 19th February

Open meeting on Monday 19th February 2007 at 7:30 p.m. in the Sellack Village Hall.

An Open Forum debate will address the issues regarding the way forward for the AONB. And identify actions where members of the public can contribute to the protection and development of the AONB.

Issues may include increasing demand for organic food and reduction of food miles and what this means for farming. In particular, what farming should look like in an AONB and whether farms within the AONB should be more traditional in their approach rather than intensive factory farms.

The meeting will also consider some of the major problems to be overcome in developing sustainability in food, farming, tourism and employment in the area.

HWVAS hopes that as many members as possible and other concerned residents will attend this Open meeting and expresss their views.
